When Taylor Swift released her new song 'I knew you were trouble when you walked in' i didnt think it was anything that would i would enjoy and i assumed before not watching the video it was going to be innocent and boring. However i was truely mistake....
Take a look yourself:
Okay yes i have to admit that the introduction is a little dragged out and long winded, however it ties the whole story together. What i like about this music video is it's different, something out of the artists 'Norm' as they say and we dont expect that type of person to come out in that music video. It gives Taylor Swift a new image and makes her more relateable to a different type of audience, after watching this i certainly have more respect for her as an artist and the surprises she has to offer.
Hope you enjoyed the music video and have been more inspired to listen more to taylor swift, i know after watching this video im a new fan.
Interested in a real life story i went to watch the film 'The Impossible' with main characters
Mother Maria played by Naomi Watts
Father Henry played by Ewan McGregor
Oldest son Lucas played by Tom Holland
Middle son Thomas played by Samuel Joslin
and youngest son Simone played by Oaklee Pendergast
'The Impossible' is based on the real live events of the 2004 tsunami on the 26th of December in Thailand on boxing day. This story starts with the family taking a vacation from Japan, in Thailand, however they are an English family. The family are taking a holiday for the Christmas period, getting away from reality of work and bills to have a nice break .
However their idyllic holiday is brutally interrupted on boxing day morning the 26th of December 2004 , when a huge unexpected tsunami hits their beach resort. However after everything that happens the family survive.....but do they stay together, watch the film and you will find out for yourself.
This film has some gory images and if you can stomach devastation and a little harsh images its a great film to watch. Its an overall heart warming story that is a bit of a tear jerker for the light hearted, hope you have a chance to watch the film as it truly is an eye opener.
Below is the trailer of the film 'The Impossible'
Hope you enjoyed my post and got a chance to see the film 'The Impossible'.......
In this post i will be looking at types of music videos that contrast to Demi Lovato's 'Give Your Heart A Break'.
After looking at many different types of music videos i found a few new artist releases that are the opposite to my music video. The first is 'Your Body' by Christina Aguilera
This music video is a contrast to 'Give your heart a break' because in the music video 'your body' its more about rebelling and fighting back by breaking others guys hearts and making them feel the pain that the main character feels instead of sorting out the situation.
Christina in this music video is showing her female dominance and showing how she is not going to be played by any male, because she can play them 10 times harder. Its impowering to females in the sense that she is showing them that they have power to control men and not let men control them.
The next music video is 'One More Night' By Maroon 5
In this music video Maroon are showing the dysfunctional relationship of him and his 'Wife', 'Girlfriend' and 'Babies mother'. You can see from the music video that there is a false sense of the relationship and it’s not real and they put up with each other for their child.
At the end of the music video when the lead singer is left on his own because his wife/ girlfriend has packed up everything and gone, he doesn’t seem to bothered and says "I don’t know, whatever" showing that any chemistry between the two characters has truly disintegrated.
As you can see both of these music videos are an extreme contrast from my music video because in my music video my main character Francesca is showing how people can be wrong and have to appolgise for what they have said and done when their wrong. However in the music video's above are showing strong woman and dysfunctional relationships which can't be fixed.
Hope you liked seeing the types of contrasts you can have when it comes to music videos and the way the artist feels about their life and other people within their life.
Recently on TV I was watching the 2012 MTV VMA'S awards and Taylor Swift, this sweet singer who i used to think of being all little and innocent came on.
She has totally changed, she has turned into this confidant woman who was singing 'we are never getting back together'. After seeing her on the MTV VMA'S i had to see the music video for research and ideas for my music Video.
What i found blew me away i loved the whole music video it was so fun and amazing it really made me love the song. Now i have found a new music interest in Taylor swift because now she has an edge and she is not the boring cute love song girl anymore.
This is Taylor Swift now and she has changed from the photo you an see above you take a look:
This is Taylor Swifts new music video for her new song which is called 'we are never getting back together' it is honestly brilliant and so fun...
There's many elements in this music video which i love!!! i love the people dancing dressed in the animal costumes i think that is pure genius and so ironic to go with this music video, but i dont think that would fit as nicely within my music video as it is in this one. What i really like is that Taylor Swift is being a strong woman in this music video and showing how she is not going to be pushed around by a man and let him walk all over her.
Even though the music video is funny and fun to watch it still has a strong message and this is what i want to portray in my music video. I thought i would share this with you because it is well crafted and so fun.
Hope you enjoyed the music video as much as i did :D
This post is linked to my music video post which is the post directly before this one. What happened on sunday was i had just got home from a meal out and i was listening to 'Give your heart a break' by Demi Lovato and the ideas for both my music video and teaser trailer came to me and i just starting writing my ideas down on a piece of paper. Anyway this is what i came up for the teaser trailer i hope you enjoy my notes and have a better understanding of what i want out of a teaser trailer.
This image above is the Brain storm for my teaser trailer.
Where on the right is the idea i came up with for the teaser trailer and its the main story behind the teaser trailer.
Hope you have enjoyed looking at my post and getting a better idea of what is to come out of my A2 final piece for Media Studies :D
I have made a film review for the movie TED which i recently saw in the cinema, everything i have to say about the movie is all included within the PowerPoint. ask me any questions enjoy the PowerPoint. TED Review
This is a link to the official 2012 TED the movie website, there is a lot of fun interesting things involved on the website and take a look and see for yourself you may enjoy it...
Below is the trailer for Ted thought i might include it so you can have a sense on how funny the film actually is and there's more funny scenes in the movie:
Today in A2 Media Studies we looked at this scene from the movie American History x, this film is old fashioned and was in black and white.
The scene we saw today was of a family at a dinner table discussing the issue of black and white people which was big in the olden days for American families.
However the theme of the clip is about racial disagreement and allows people to think about the feelings of black and white people and how black people were extremely misjudged, as well as being extremely Miss-treated.
The clip below is what we watched in media Studies, take a look and if you have any opinions on the scene comment below i would love to have a discussion about it.
In media Studies we watched some of the film 'The Bridge', we were told prior to watching the film that it was based on a true story and has a unpleasant story line as this film was about people committing suicide of the Golden gate bridge in San Fransisco. Any way when we were watching the clip we were told to focus on the 5 W's which include:
Who
What
Why
Where
When
Throughout the clip i noted down a few things whilst keeping up to date with the film and everything that was happening within the film. However i believe the trailer says a lot about a little here take a look for yourself:
As you can see from the Trailer it answer pretty much the 5 W's in one. this movie really made you think how people must be feeling, I mean driving yourself to suicide it couldn't be easy, however it happens and i think this film was trying to capture a message and make people aware of what happens around them. I think this film is emotional yet moving and if you haven't seen it, watch it!! it will maybe make you see life differently.
This is what the DVD cover to the bridge looks like, if you ever find it pick it up :)
This image above is The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, its absolutely stunning and at the same time mysterious. I wonder what people feel when they jump off this bridge, maybe they want to end their lives in an extremely beautiful place?
When it comes to the A2 briefs were given all of them were appealing and interesting briefs to carry out for my final A2 piece for media studies, however there were 2 briefs in particular which really attracted me and drew me in. Those two briefs are the following briefs below:
1. A promotion package for the release of an album, to include a music promo video, together with two of the following three options:
·a website homepage for the band;
·a cover for its release on DVD;
·A magazine advertisement for the DVD.
Above the images our of two of my favourite bands My Chemical Romance (MCR) and Plan B and below i will give you links to their music videos which really inspire me to make a music video for my final piece for A2 media studies: My Chemical Romance- I'm not Okay (music video line)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhZTNgAs4Fc
What i like about this video from MCR which is called 'I'm Not Okay' is how its been put together with actual scenes from the school which include dialogue and also incorporating the music over the scene within the school i find extremely creative and fun as well for the audience. In addition i find the scene where they are plying their instruments in the room, which has a studio feel to it, is also an interesting twist which is always keeping the audience interested.
What draws me in about Plan B's music video is that throughout their album of the deformation of Strickland Banks it plays a story and the music videos are different scenes which build up this interesting and fun movie. Furthermore in the Stay too long video he interlinks the rap within the music which i find extremely cool and fun making me want to listen to more. I find things like this really draws the audience in. 2. A promotion package for a new film, to include a teaser trailer, together with two of thefollowing three options:
·a website homepage for the film;
·a film magazine front cover, featuring the film;
·a poster for the film Im also very interested in doing a teaser trailer as you can pull very strong emotions out of the person watching it such as: - Joy - Anger - Excitement - Love - Realisation - and sadness My sisters keeper is an amazing movie which brings out the many different emotions and really makes people stop and think, the only reason i watched this movie was because of the trailer and without that motivation and pulling force from the trailers a lot of great movies aren't seen. Below is the Trailer for 'My sisters Keeper' have a look and see what i mean:
Another trailer which always excites me and makes me want to go and see the movie is the twilight series, every time a new trailer comes out in the cinema i jump up and get goose bumps and the trailer really makes everything exciting and real. Thats what i love about the twilight series it get you exited and makes you want to see the movie asap and not on the released date.
Below is the trailer to one of my favourite movie series 'Braking Dawn Part 1'
